Was told I would be ablue to cash there anticipation check at any of the local supermarkets. Yet NONE of them will cash a check from star accounting or there EPS/metabank.
My wife and I were pretty excited about getting our taxes done here this year as the company has many great reviews and it was recommended for us to go here by a few different people. Unfortunately we just didn't have a good experience. A guy named James did our taxes and right off the bat he closed the door right before by wife could even enter his office, didn't apologize, or even give us friendly greeting. I honestly didn't even know his name until i looked on the printed finished tax forms. My wife and I didn't feel very comfortable being in there and he made it seem like we were an inconvenience being there. There were a few comments he made that made my wife and I both think "I can't believe he said that". I just hope his poor customer service doesn't carry over into our taxes being poorly filed. Although, the rest of the staff seemed very friendly. The lady outside his office seemed outgoing with her clients as we could hear her interactions. Thankfully James did tell us to have a good evening and for that we rate the business 2 stars
EDIT: someone did reach out to us to apologize on our experience and offered us to come back next year to make it right. They even double checked the filing of our taxes to make sure everything was done correctly. We will go back next year and give Star Accounting another go.
Star accounting is awesome and Jackie is wonderful. I have brought three people here and they have all had great experiencs. Star even filed a tax return that I did incorrectly and I received 1,200 on a amended return from three years ago. They are always available to help with any questions. H&R block has NOTHING on these guys I HIGHLY suggest you give them a try.
